Missions
The game is emergent. This is how we think it will work right now, but we’d quite like it if we had to change this page in response to better ideas coming from the players…
- Missions will be published on the 19th of September, 2008.
- Missions can be completed on the three days 19th – 21st of September, 2008. (With a few exceptions for the Orientation Missions)
- Completing missions allows you to gain points and move up to different level ranks.
- 100 points – Black Rank
- 250 points – Blue Rank
- 500 points – Green Rank
- 1000 points – Orange Rank
- Once you have reached a new rank, you may add something of the corresponding colour to your avatar to symbolise your progress through the game.
- You must complete Orientation Missions 1-5 before you can gain points for any other (Disorientation?) missions. Maybe you can use a ‘pip’ system to mark your avatar’s progress during this stage?
- Once you have completed a mission, post proof on-line and then direct message either @avalokitesvara (if you are in the UK) or @yohmoh (if you are in Japan) in order to get the points. (You’ll need to tell them the mission number and where to find the proof.) No direct message; no points.
